We all have features about our bodies we do not like. We look in the mirror and pick out different things we wish we could change. How did we learn to hate our bodies? This publication is based off of something in Black culture that is constantly being altered because it is not considered beautiful—natural hair. This book is a collection of community submitted poems about natural hair with original artwork inspired by the content of the written pieces. Although you may not have the struggle of accepting your hair, you may struggle with other features. After looking through the book, look in the mirror, and reflect on what makes you unique.
